Why Lose That New Car Smell?

Apart from spending a lot of money on air fresheners, there are a few tips and habits you can become familiar with that will keep that vehicle smelling new and fresh for years to come. And, even if you car isn't new, there are things you can do to make it livable once again.

The first tip is to throw trash away daily. It doesn't take long for junk and trash to accumulate. Banana peels, candy and food wrappers, old sandwiches thrown in the back seat, food dropped between the seats, animal smells, and just about anything imaginable that would make a car smell foul can eventually end up in your vehicle.

If you smoke, take the time to pull over and light up before or after a trip. Smoke can get into the very fabric of your seats and upholstery. You may not be able to smell it, but make no mistake-others can! Using an irritating fragrance can be just as bad as throwing trash in over your shoulder. If someone in your car gets sick over the air freshener, you car can end up smelling a whole lot worse. Baking soda is the best and least expensive remedy to have on hand. It has the same effect as when used in refrigerators. It absorbs smells without leaving any. If you live in a safe area, it doesn't hurt to roll the windows down and inch or two and let the fresh air of night work its magic.
.
Have a little pride-in fact, have a lot of pride about how you take care of your car. After all, when you see a car that's well taken car of, it speaks volumes about the owner and his or her style of living.

Avoiding Swirlmarks On Your Car's Exterior

Swirlmarks! Nothing can take away more from your car's finish but did you know those are more than smears on the finish of your car? Those are actually tiny scratches and are the forbearers of bad news, eventually those tiny scratches will become larger and allow dirt and debris to get into those flaws in your car's finish and give rust a place to take a foothold. Dark cars will shine out swirlmarks like a beacon of bad detailing and if you know a few tips, you can rid yourself of this problem forever.

First of all, use microfiber towels when you wash and detail your car. If it isn't soft and it's touching the surface of your car, it is probably scratching it and scratches equal swirlmarks.

Wash your car using a good quality car soap. You want to make sure that whatever you choose to use washes away cleanly with no residue. Then apply a swirlmark repair product such as Triple Play Swirl Mark Remover. This is the state of the art product which combines the power of a cutting polish that will remove the oxidation that causes swirlmarks and eventual rusting as well as giving your vehicle the full protection of a car wax and last but not least, the fabulous shine of a glaze.

Best of all, you can do it in half the time, because Triple Play is so easy to use and works quickly to get rid of swirlmarks by filling the small scratches that are causing them. Just use a soft wax applicator and wipe Triple Play onto the surface of your car and then wipe off with a clean, dry microfiber towel.

Another tip to make sure you have a shine that lasts is to use Super Seal Paint Sealant to create the ultimate protection to your paint's finish and make swirlmarks a bad memory in the finish of your car.
