Scratches And What To Do When They Happen
You can run but you can't hide. No matter how carefully you park your car, use that car cover, keep your car out of the path of stray shopping carts, the inevitable will happen, you will get a scratch on your car's finish.
How you handle it when a scratch happens will make or break the good looks of your car's exterior. Not only that, left untreated, a scratch will become an open invitation for rust to settle in on your car's finish.
Here's what you can do when you find a scratch has come calling on your car. A new paint job or even a touch up to your car's exterior can be a pain in the pocketbook. Instead, if the scratch isn't too deep, you can get some outstanding results using Super Cut Rubbing Compound.
Super Cut works by removing minor surface scratches before they ruin the finish of your car and as a bonus, it also gets rid of swirl marks on your car's finish. Super Cut is a non-abrasive rubbing compound that you just apply with a clean cloth and rub with gentle even pressure on the area until it is dry. Then, simply wipe the surface with a clean microfiber towel and you should have a wonderfully restored finish.
Some finishes may be a little dull over the scratched area after using Super Cut, you can brighten that area up by using Renewit Auto Polish, also for removing which also helps remove scratches and brightens your paint job. Renewit will give outstanding results on black, red or darker painted cars. It is easy to use, just apply with a clean microfiber towel, wipe over the surface that has been damaged and then wipe off with a clean microfiber towel. This should resolve your scratches on your car's finish and give you a bright, shiny exterior to be proud of!
