Frugal Detailing - Using Sealant Wax

You can spend a lot of money detailing your car with inferior products and getting an "almost" great look for your auto, or you can buy a few high-end, superior quality products and get a professional look to your detailing. If you want your car to look like it was professionally detailed but you want to save money and do it yourself, get professional products, and learn the techniques.

Using sealant wax is easy and if you learn to do it yourself, you'll save yourself a ton of money and your car's exterior will thank you for it.

One of the best sealers you can use for your car is also one of the originals. Super Seal Paint Sealant is a sealer wax which is the final wax coating that you apply to your car after you've completely washed and dried the exterior of your auto, then applied your favorite wax - we commend Gold Edition Finishing Wax.

The paint sealer may be applied by auto buffer or by hand. If you have never used an auto buffer before, try applying by hand until you can get someone who has used an auto buffer to show you the technique. It's best learned in person or you run the risk of marring your car's exterior when the buffer gets too hot and it damages the paint on your car.

Super Seal Paint Sealer will leave your car with a brilliant shine and also offer up long lasting protection against dirt, grime, pollution and the elements from harming your car's finish. Detailing your car regularly, cleaning and waxing - will add to the life of your car's exterior as well as keep it looking sharp all year around.

3 Kinds Of Auto Carpet Cleaning

After you make the exterior of your car look fantastic, how about the interior? It's easy to overlook the necessity of cleaning your carpets and it's not as rewarding as detailing the outside of your car, after all, besides your family, friends and the occasionally client or valet, who will see your carpets?

You will. Keep them looking nice and it will add to the overall good looks of your car. There are only three main kinds of cleaning :

1- Regular Detail Cleaning - which is something you should be doing on a regular basis. Simply use a good cleaner like Lane's Carpet Spot Remover to get rid of the stubborn stains and then use an all over cleaner like Lane's Foamy Upholstery Cleaner to get a deep down clean in your car's carpets.

2-Rush Cleaning - This is when you've put off detailing your car's interior for a period of time and the boss wants you to pick up an important client, that cute young lady said, "Yes" when you asked to take her out and told her you'd pick her up at 8 PM, or you just realized you don't remember the last time you cleaned your car's carpets and you notice that they aren't looking/smelling so fresh. In addition to using Lane's Spot Remover and Foamy Cleaner, follow it up with a car scent ande it will keep your car's entire interior smelling fantastic.

3-Mishap Clean Up is the final type of carpet cleaning you'll find yourself doing on your auto. Kids track mud, people spill things, and sometimes things just leak. Your carpets in your car can wind up taking a lot of abuse.

However, if you use high end cleaners, you will always get professional, superior results and you'll wind up doing a lot less work to get your carpets in your car looking like new!

Should You Wash And Wax Your Car In The Winter?

Many people think you don't have to detail your car in the Winter. After all, when you are not driving your car it's parked in the garage right?

Well, think about the snow, the pollution in the cold, winter rain and the salt that your car encounters on the icy and frozen roads. All of these things can degrade the exterior of your car and we all know, one tiny paint chip or rust spot can lead to a much larger exterior problem down the road.

Fortunately, detailing your car is easy once you get in the habit and Lane's has even put together some of their most popular detailing products in easy to use kits for your convenience.

This detail package includes Lane's Wash & Shine, which is the most concentrated soap wax on the market today. Use this to get the dirt and grime off your car as well as any salt residue. After washing and drying, use Lane's Gold Edition, the superior finishing wax to give your car great protection from the Winter elements and a fantastic shine.

Your tires take a lot of abuse in the Winter too, after cleaning, keep them looking brilliant with a coating of Lane's Super Blue Tire Gloss. It is fast drying and highly glossed to give your tires ultra-protection and shine. Also included in this kit is Lane's Power Clean. A multi-purpose cleaner, the strongest available on the market, to keep your carpet and vinyl looking as sharp as the outside of your car.

Treating Your Vinyl Convertible Top Right In The Winter

Your car's convertible top takes a lot of abuse. Even if you keep your car in the garage, when you're driving, it gets exposed to rain, sun, and harsh temperatures. In order to get the most out of your convertible top, you need to keep it clean and maintained.

First off, don't use over the counter products for your convertible top, many contain chemicals including ammonia that will make the vinyl brittle after a short period of use.

Power Clean, which is the strongest vinyl cleaner on the market is great to cut through the grease, dirt and grime on your convertible top. This cleaner lifts the dirt from your vinyl top. Best of all, it is so easy to use, you just spray it on your vinyl top and use your sponge to get it clean. Work in small areas. Rinse well and wipe with a microfiber towel until dry. When one towel gets too wet to dry, switch to a new towel.

After your vinyl top is a clean slate, you want to treat it and protect it just like when you wax your car. Big Orange is a great product to use on your convertible top. This dressing will help keep your convertible top looking its best. To use, just apply Big Orange with a sprayer or directly with a sponge and wipe down in small areas until the entire top is covered.

Clean and protect your vinyl convertible top often and it will last for many more years to come!
