Removing Scratches From Your Car

You want your car to look amazing, brand new, and free of marks and scratches on the exterior. But, life is not perfect and accidents do happen. A lot of times, your car will get scratches when you do not even know about it. Perhaps somebody in a parking lot scraped up against it, or maybe while driving in a rural area, you swiped a branch that you did not notice. Because little things like this happen, it is good to know some little tips and tricks to take care of your vehicle.

Of course, you want to do everything possible to avoid having to pay for a completely new paint job. Even paint touch-ups can be pretty costly. However, depending on the magnitude of each individual scratch, you may have to have a new paint job to fix it. The deeper the scratch, the higher your chances of having to shell out the cash for a new finish.

Luckily, there are some really amazing products on the market that can help you with many of the more minor scratches that your car may endure. If you do happen to notice some of these fixable scratches on your vehicle, Super Cut Rubbing Compound can easily come to the rescue. This product is formulated to remove minor surface scratches as well as swirl marks.

Super Cut has even been known to help restore and brighten the original color of your car. This non-abrasive rubbing compound is easy to use. All you have to do is apply with a clean cloth. Rub with gentle pressure on the area until it dries and then you just wipe off the surface.

Another great product is Renewit Auto Polish, also for removing scratches and brightening your paint job. This product is made with fine polishing agents, silicones and polymers and is known to work best on black, red or other darker paint colors. Just apply with a wax applicator, wipe onto surface, then wipe off with a clean dry towel.

Using Car Polish Before You Wax

If you love your vehicle, you are probably always making sure it is washed, waxed and completely polished up. Right? Well, if you are not entirely made of money, you probably cannot afford to bring it in to a washhouse to have the professionals do it for you all of the time. If that is the case, there are tons of great products that can help you achieve the look you need and desire for your prized exterior.

One of the most important things that you need to remember for the care of your exterior is a good wax. Waxing a couple of times a year not only keeps everything on the outside nice and shiny, but it also may extend the life of the car as well as maintain the resale value. A good polish is also equally important to helping you achieve a superior, professional shine. Polishing before waxing can help give you a much deeper shine than with just wax alone.

With this being said, after a complete wash of the exterior, you will want to grab a bottle of Renewit Auto Polish. This professional grade polish is built to help remove scratches and oxidation. Thick and semi-flowing, this auto polish not only cleans, but it polishes and brightens just beautifully. You may want to start the polishing in sections so none of it dries too fast, making it harder to remove. Also, make sure you are using a clean cloth for applications so you do not scratch up the paint any further.

Once you have finished that entire process, you are now in for a good waxing. Gold Edition Car Wax, used by most dealerships and auto detailers, is the perfect car wax. This stuff is easy to both apply and remove, as well as being able to be used on all colors. Just apply with a clean cloth in a circular motion, allow to dry, then wipe off with another clean, dry towel.
