Proper Application Of Auto Wax

If you've decided to wax your car, here some tips to make waxing your car even easier:

First, you need to decide on the type of wax you want to use. Either use a Gold Edition or Carnauba Supreme wax products, if you car is darker in color, use the Carnauba Supreme.

Once you've decided which wax best suits your needs, here is how to use it:

When you wax your car, work in a shaded area out of direct sunlight.

Use a foam applicator pad to apply your wax, do not reuse applicators once it becomes caked with wax, discard and use a new applicator.

Work in small areas on your car. Put wax on in about 2-3 feet areas and buff it off. Be sure to read the manufacturer's instructions on whether or not to allow the wax to dry (haze) before buffing. Some waxes require you to wait, others do not. Less is more with waxing, use a little wax and work in small areas. If the wax residue does not buff off easily, switch to a clean wipe towel.

If you find your wax doesn't buff off easily and you're following the instructions to the letter, switch to a clean cloth for buffing. If you are finding swirls in your wax job, you need to replace your applicator or towels that you are using to wax your car.

When you are done waxing, your car's paint should be smooth to the touch and show no signs of streaks and smudges.

After an initial start, keeping your car waxed and looking great will be a breeze.

How To Remove Smoke Smell From The Interior Of Your Car

If you smoke, you're going to have a smoke smell in your car. Fortunately, if you want to remove that smell there are a number of products that can help with this problem.

The first thing you can do if you smoke in your car is to roll down a window or open your sunroof, this allow a lot of the smoke to escape and not leave a smoke odor in your car.

Smoke from cigarettes and cigars is one of the most difficult smells to remove from a car, but with some good products it can be done. Tobacco smoke is notorious for getting into every nook and cranny in your car. Not only do you need to clean your windows, front and back windshields with a good glass cleaner, you will also need to give your dash the once over, and you will need to clean your headliner and seat cushions.

If you have cloth upholstery, shampoo your carpets and cloth upholstery (not leather) with a high grade cleaner. Use as directed and let dry as normal.

After shampooing the upholstery, wipe down all other interior surfaces with a sponge and the stain & odor remover. Clean your headliner with the upholstery cleaner as well.

After the carpet of your car has dried for 24 hours, sprinkle a good deodorizer on the carpet, rub it in with your hands, and leave it for a few days, then vacuum.

If you have a leather upholstery, the good news is it won't allow the smoke to sink in as cloth upholstery does, but you need to get a good leather cleaner to get the smell out, get a good high end cleaner, as cheaper leather cleaners can damage the fine finish.

Finally, spray your carpets, vents, under your seats and dash with an odor eliminator such as the Tropical Odor Eliminator to eliminate the smell from the places that you can't reach.

Follow these simple steps and you should not have the smoke odor in your car any longer - in fact, your friends may even ask you if you've given up smoking!

Is Carnauba Wax Better?

Carnauba Wax is made from the fronds of the "tree of life" and is native to Brazil. This is the hardest, purest and most transparent wax found in nature. Carnauba wax produces amazing deep lustrous shines that are often described as 3-D.

Most auto enthusiasts and people who show cars professionally will tell you they prefer carnauba wax for its deep shine and it looks especially stunning on black, red and other dark colors of automobile. Additionally, carnauba waxes bead up water evenly, actually absorb and neutralize the acid content in rainwater and hide minor swirls in your car's paint.

The only real downside to carnauba waxes is that they do not generally last as long as other synthetic waxes, the average carnauba wax job lasts about 4-6 weeks. Extreme high temperatures and high humidity can cause carnuaba wax to streak on a few occasions under these conditions unless care is taken to remove the wax without streaking. If these type of weather conditions aren't big issues where you live, you can be assured of a high quality shine using carnuaba wax every time.

However, even with these few drawbacks, carnuaba wax continues to gain a loyal following as it imparts a deep rich shine that can't be equalled in a synthetic wax. If your car has minor paint swirls they can be hidden with a good wax job using carnuaba wax.

Carnuaba wax is easy to apply, simply apply with a clean cloth. Work into the paint surface using a little pressure at first to help cover paint swirls and imperfections, then ease up gradually as the polish dries and develops a high gloss finish. Wipe off the carnuba wax with a different clean towel for a shine like no other.

There are huge advantages to using Professional Care Car products. They are made with professional grade materials and are made to last. Another redeeming feature of Professional Care Products is that you usually get a good discount when you purchase them in bulk.

Try to get items you will use often throughout the year, such as car waxes, car compounds such as Super Cut which is fantastic for removing minor surface scratches, swirl marks, oxidation and brightening colors, and another great bulk item is car soap.

Auto interior cleaners are another good item to buy in bulk, there are cheap retail brands you can buy, but you won't get the cleaning power that you get with a professional car care product. You will be detailing your interior a lot throughout the year, doing quick cleans when clients or relatives from out of town might be riding in your car.

If you're going to keep your car clean and looking sharp all year, you will need these types of products repeatedly.

Another reason to consider buying in bulk is if you are considering opening your own mobile auto detailing business. You will want to use certain products often and you will want to use professional car care products for the finest finish and lasting good looks.
