It's the end of summer and you still have a lot of nice days outside, so why not sharpen up the look of your car? If you have put off detailing your car because you think you'll need a store's worth of products - not true! You really only need a few key items to make your auto detailing job a pleasure and very easy to do.

The first tool you must have for any auto detail is a microfiber towel. The microfiber is made up of four different synthetic fibers including acrylic, nylon, rayon, and polyester. Microfiber towels are great for an auto detail job because they do not leave lint behind like most towels, they are super absorbent, and they produce a nice shine. Remember, anything that touches your car's finish should be soft so you don't leave micro-scratches that let rust in.

Give your car the once over with a good soap. Get rid of the dirt, grime and debris that build up from normal driving. After rinsing, towel dry and then apply a good wax to protect the surface of your car.

Then clean your windows. If there is a build up of dirt, grime and pollution you should either use Lane’s glass cleaner for light build up or Lane’s concentrated auto glass cleaner for heavier build up. Both of these products are very simple to use and aid you in the auto detail process.
If you are a smoker, you need high end auto detail products to keep your interior in good condition. The first thing that you will need to do is clean the interior with Lane’s foam upholstery product. This will take out all dirt and smoke odor from your upholstery and give the inside of your car a fresh scent.
